So, next Innie, Matela, and Teresa went on a night watch to search for the real thief. They searched around the house and found that late at night the basement light turned on! The next day when they were cleaning the basement and they found a door behind the kiln. So, the next night Innie went searching through the tunnel she found some of the missing items. They kept walking and ended up outside! As the story goes along, Innie becomes more suspected of the robberies and so she is kicked out of the book club. Since Innie was kicked out it was hard for them to investigate. So, they had to go at night once more. This time they went through the outside end of the tunnel. When they opened the door to the basement they used the two candles Innie borrowed from the church to see. They looked around the kiln room and found a sleeping girl with a nice shawl on ( one of the stolen items ) they (Matela, Teresa, and Innie) woke her up and started investigating her. Suddenly, Carmela came out of the door and insisted she was told what was going on! She suggested that they go up to Ms. Geurrier and Ms. Brown ( the owners ) and explain everything. When they went up to them they were very shocked but were happy they came to them. They invited them to come into the apartment complex and explain. They did and the girl explained everything and apologized. The ladies let her stay there and escorted Innie, Teresa, Matela, and Carmela to the front door and they apologized to Innie for wrongly accusing her and allowed her to come back to the Wednesday night book club. The ladies also allowed the girl to be a Thursday night book club member. The next time they all got together they were all happy and exited that they solved the mystery and were able to be together at the book club again.
